I celebrate each morning as a loving husband,
I am pleased that I have been able to share myself
My wife and I have a home and family built on love
Together we have brought lives into the world
We opened our hearts and souls to our children
Both thankfully have become successful adults.
I was an educator and sing my life’s work
My efforts, I hope, have touched the hearts of many
As a teacher, I worked to encourage young minds
Providing knowledge and sparking young curiosity
I supported my staff as a principal guiding my staff to improved instruction
As Superintendent, I shared decision making with teachers and parents
Thus, setting goals meant to enhance the future of the school district
When I retired, I became a college professor eager to inspire fledgling educators
Now in my golden time, I sing my life as a husband, father and educator
I sing the story of my life; I hope all I have met will sing with me…
I’m pleased that I had the opportunity to work with teachers, students and parents
I hope over my journey, we each became better people as a result of our interactions
