God's Children by royowen

God's Children ...

I am not great or special,
indeed no-one at all.
No fame or special talent
not strong, nor weak, or tall.
And yet I'm someone's treasure
He thinks of me each day.
He's never ever failed menu
no price He would not pay.

For He desires my friendship
to be His kith and kin.
He wants my loving kinship
He's cleansed my mortal sin.
Some may hate or disapprove
their favour I'll not seek.
God never spurns, yet He loves
His cup will never leak.

My Saviour and my hero
my brother, Lord and friend,.
Always walking by my side
His friendship cannot end.
So much more than I can say
He cares both day or night.
Through the storms, and sunshine's light,
I'm ever in His sight.

Author Notes
Though we may be adults we are still somebody's child,
although technically I am an orphan. both my parents are passed now. but I am Gods child, and always will be, I am Jesus' brother, I am an adoptee, and an adopted child has the same rights and privileges of a natural child, the Jews are the natural children.
Romans 8:14-17
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. KJV
