Earth Day, the day where nature is king;
Or queen might be more accurate.
Of backyards green with flowers and trees,
I am an avid advocate.
Planting things is my therapy
My hands itch to be in the dirt;
And where there’s no ground, I have some pots
That stark deck to garden, convert.
A big tree grows right through my deck—
Or rather, deck circles the tree;
This is the perfect place to relax,
As sun sets, that’s where I will be.

Author Notes
this is not actually my deck, but I do have a huge Oak coming up through mine. Just couldn't get a good picture of it. Also I have lots of flowering plants on my deck. This picture hopefully gets the idea across.
