Author Notes
Tweety Bird is a cartoon character from Warner Brothers' Looney Tunes. One of Tweety's most notable characteristics is his inability to pronounce certain letters:
s becomes t, c and k become d or t, and often l or r becomes w.
His arch enemy is a black and white cat named Sylvester who will use elaborate schemes throughout the cartoon to capture Tweety. But he always fails...
I always marveled at how such a tiny little canary could outwit the big old cat time after time...Saturday morning cartoons were a areal fun fest for me and my brother in the '50's!
