A Diatelle entry

Beauty at Dawn

by June Sargent

look!
behold
scene at dawn
blue heron stays
though rest of flock moves on
soaring in the sun he displays
the magnificence of creation's ways
described by men of faith in God's own Holy book
such beauty inspires man to count his days
and not engage in useless frays
wasted time, done and gone
ponder and praise
look beyond
pylon
nook
