A chapter in the book Songs

One In A Million

by michaelcahill

It's a million people marching
a million hands to hold
and their strong in their conviction
secure within the fold

and I see your shining face
a little girl all alone
and I can't wait for you to grow
to show
what you know
what only you know

For one in a million
will march alone
Oh, one in a million
will march alone

It's a million people marching
and I look o'er the crowd
and I look for Martin Luther
and Bobby walking proud

and I wonder who among you
will step out of the crowd
and show us what you know
what only you know

Oh, one in a million will march alone
One in a million will march alone

Oh, oh, one
in a million
will march alone.

This is the short version. It leaves room for a verse or two addressing whatever is current. Just me, guitar and a very cheap cassette player. Big budget all the way.

Yes, Bobby Kennedy does it for me. Think of whomever does it for you.
