Have you eaten this meal?
Breakfalupper
When I sit down and start to write,
afraid to stop and take a bite
cause inspiration will be lost —
I wonder, is it worth the cost?
On some occasions I'll do this,
combine all meals I might have missed.
My empty gut will never suffer,
as long as I eat breakfalupper.
Dump in some veggies, eggs and meat,
it's really tasty, (quite a treat!)
Your kitchen will stay nice and clean.
One scrumptious meal that keeps you lean.
You might have guessed, just by the name,
it's not some silly rhyming game.
Take all your meals rolled into one —
eat 'em up — then when you're done...
...you sit back down, so satisfied,
then pick up where your thoughts once tried
to keep you there, away from food.
You're so lost now you start to brood.
Don't e're write if you don't love it,
do not place all else above it.
Don't all who pose as writers see
how much their writing sets them free?
At last—you feel you've got it right,
you've gone ten rounds, you've won this fight.
Then those reviews start pouring in...
*...sigh...*
...back to the drawing board again.
Now, you can starve, it's up to you,
You may not believe, but it's true,
that someone here can write so much
they forego breakfast — skip their lunch.
It matters little what you eat
as long as you don't taste defeat.
Just dodge your critic's harshest blows
then make them eat a little crow.

Try it, you'll like it!
No particular rhyme scheme, form, or meter was used in the creation of this poem, although I believe that's fairly obvious. A-hem...
To those who have cared enough to read this silly nonsense, you have my deepest sympathy. Heh-heh-heh...
