who are you?-contest entry
i am poetic compulsion
by michaelcahill
i am poetic compulsion i see inside what others deem closed i hear tears drip behind smiles i touch gladly what most see opposed i say truth if it uplifts or defiles i am poetic compulsion i cry for things most haven't seen i laugh so I'll seek one more scheme i worry it’s on air that you lean i dream of the perfect life's theme i am poetic compulsion i pretend it's a cynical world i wonder… i wonder… i wonder… why? i want love's flag flying unfurled, i believe that it could if we try i feel thoughts erupting- soul's propulsion! i am poetic compulsion |
