A chapter in the book The Heart of Poetry
Go with the Flow
by Carolyn 'Deaton' Stephens
Poetry is like
A water-fall Once it starts going down You might as well go with the flow Poetry is like a burning log once it is lit revel in it's glow bask in welcomed release of warmth Poetry is like an incubator if the egg stays warm long enough it will hatch Poetry is like the sunrise occasionally a cloud will block it's view but sooner or later we see the light Poetry is like an invention if you toy with it tweak it just right it may start to make sense Poetry is like having a sibling there is always another person who can relate to your dilemma Poetry is like a heart shaped piece of chocolate a little of it is good for you but over indulgence... Hey! What am I saying everyone knows you can't over- indulge in Chocolate and can one really write too many poems if so then it's a 'good thing' 'cause over-poetry-a-zation might eventually lead to successful royalties paid Publication |
