Heaven's Raven- Ode to Death
by The Death
Oh, winged Goddess
you swiftly descend, the ominous twilight-horizon poisoned with your flare. As your dark feathers eclipse the sun of life; intense gloom pervades, thus blossoms wither. With ravishing, swirling wings you gracefully sway- a bloodless ballerina awaiting transformation. Deadly dance's visuals flash before hapless eyes promising escape..but forever, no gateways to return. Terror reverberates within hearts as they rendezvous with your crafty seductive art. And they just croon, astonished by your inevitable fiesta. An integral part to face you now or then. This play holds tight with you breathing death into lives. Red blood suffuses with sooty vaporous venom. Your mysticism isn't always an omen, for it relieves one from earthly pain. When the life itself becomes more terrible than hell, your exquisite moves enclose life like a shielding shell.-- a lustrous black cocoon imbibing the lively elements. Your whispered refuge offers a new world- enlightened and enchanted amid starlit cosmic space.-- then silver shades appear out of time-worn bodies. You contrast a fusion of black and white as you bear life on your colossal wings. The last flight, seeking eternal freedom, just commemorates when the midnight bells. Visions dwindle, then fade, while you glide to reach across the stars. Oh, resplendent raven, you are an angel in disguise. You carry over souls to the hallowed Heaven. |
