A Christmas Song

Once again winter's snow is bold,
Those ancient stories will unfold Tall Christmas tree, quick splash of light bright ribbons dancing in crisp night The chimney swept clean waiting for swift visit silent stuff of lore Eyes are closed pretending sleep listening for loose floorboards creak An entrance graceful without noise wrapped packages of heartfelt joys The sun shines bright through every bough innocent souls rejoicing now My old green jacket full of wear Empty pockets good mem'ries there No thoughts of what I can't provide Pure love of Jesus dwells inside All through the house bright sounds of cheer while every heart is near and dear Christmas!
