The daisy held his destiny.

He loves me . He loves me not.

by DALLAS01

He loves me he loves me not
he let our love go straight to pot
a garden full of crab grass
a rosebush full of thorns
he led me to an impasse
that was festering with storms.

Beneath his tarnished halo
the devil in him surged
he rode the mean tornado
as his own true self emerged.

The petals on the daisy
were disappearing fast
he laughed said I was crazy
as I plucked away the last.

It gently floated to the ground
he turned and walked away
I raged inside I made no sound
the dye was cast I'd make him pay.

When the daisy spoke he loved me not
I dug for him a six foot plot.
