Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted
A time when the party life caught up with me

No-one Knows Why

by Johnny Bowden

Walls creaking
Rain leaking
Trickling down chimneys
Seeking saucepans to drop in
Creating a harmony
All of its own

Wind battering
Tin clattering
Bugs and spiders battling
Searching deeper for cover

I know how they feel
For I search for the same
A break from the madness
The struggle and strain
Uneasily awaiting
The knock on the window pain

Rain stops
Hardly noticed
Consumed
Vague
Lost

Trying to relax now
Getting somewhere
Phone starts ringing
Stop it right there
Don't know who it is
Cant answer
But anxiously await message

Winds dropped
Mysteriously silent
Calm,cosy
Drifting slowly
Almost asleep

Suddenly the phone rings again
Someone bangs on the door
Another at the window
As I huddle on the floor
I stare at the face of insanity
Pleading no more
Next day I leave
No-one knows why
