When granddaughter, Kenzie was four
As she drew on her arm she'd say
There's nothing that she wanted more
Than be tattoo artist someday
She drew them with a certain pen
Who knew her goal she would redeem
'Cause when she was the age of ten
She said tattoos were still her dream
She drew many that represent
The two of us both holding hands
Our trust and support always meant
What only we would understand
She took high school and college art
Her talent grew with every year
A true artist right from the start
Yet she still dreamt the same career
Her mindset has been tattoo strong
And when Apprenticeship is done
What she has waited for so long
Would now be real, and not for fun
Much time and work she has allowed
And to herself she has been true
I love her more and still so proud
Of my new artist of tattoo
