Is my love for my grandchildren

A Priceless Love

by Debi Pick Marquette

a love so priceless

there are no words to describe it

the innocence of these children

forever in my heart

our sweet moments together

fill the air with laughter

even the butterflies dance with us

but time passes too quickly

when they depart

I yearn for the next time

yet nature means growth

with growth comes distance

and my love for them

is still as strong

no matter how old they are

 or wherever they are

Recognized

I know this is not what the Japanese have in mine. Yet I have a love for those kids as strong as any love I have known; just in a different way. So I am bending the rules a little.
At least I didn't rhyme it. LOL
