Winter Nesting

unhurried moments holding sway
a winter's day
my world is hushed 
and life's unrushed
 
the quiet sounds within my home
my coffee's foam
evoke from me
calm reverie 
 
old books lie near bemusing me
their poetry
lures me to rest
within my nest
