Some days are spent...

Remembering

by Boogienights

Bad weather days, when cold winds blow,
my thoughts will stray to long ago.
Recalling childhood days so free,
my loved ones, then, return to me.

My brother playing his guitar,
the songs he strummed, the best by far.
my mama sipping sweet, hot tea,
my loved ones, then, return to me.

My sister reading Steven King,
to scare herself, that was her thing.
Always as wild as she could be,
my loved ones, then, return to me.

Dad loved his cigars and his pipe,
he was a laid back mellow type.
He played jazz records endlessly,
my loved ones, then, return to me.

I remember, see their faces,
parks and zoos, such happy places.
Together there with family,
my loved ones, then, return to me.

They're all gone now, I still live on,
God made His claim, He's never wrong.
Inside my heart, they'll always be,
my loved ones, then, return to me.
