Makes Life so Much Easier

The Joy That God Intends

We should not be so quick to judge

Or be so prideful we won't budge

If someone needs to make amends

Let's find the Joy that God intends

Our eyes all see exact same thing

But opposite reactions bring

Try talking it over as friends

Let's find the Joy that God intends

If bad mood seems to ruin your day

Do you punish those in your way

If what we say sometimes offends

Let's find the Joy that God intends

A common place should be our goal

Political or personal

A heart of hatred never mends

Let's find the Joy that God intends

Writing Prompt
A kyrielle is made of quatrains that rhyme. Each stanza (that is a quatrain) has a line that repeats, so a line from a previous stanza. That line usually (but does not necessarily have to) be the last line in the stanza. Each line in the poem has eight syllables. There is no limit to the number of stanzas. Usually there are three or more stanzas. Any type of rhyme scheme can be used. More information and an example.
