Progressive Changes - St Marys

This is my further run down on the Youtube Links, below, continuing where we left off before the "Tangent" post. I have moved the Youtube links up, at the suggestion of a reviewer. Hope this works.

we start with my,sadly, a bit shaky, video of more changes to St Marys Station for the approaching Metro Connection for the soon-to-open Nancy Bird Western Sydney Airport. Omit parenthesis when copying Links.)

It has been captured from four positions. 1. Glossop Street both at the over-bridge and 2. The Metro construction site. You will see an artist's impression at the Glossop St site, of how the new Metro Station will look. 3. From St Marys Station in a couple of spots. 4. From Level 5 of the car park behind the station.

I was so glad someone pointed out the Fire Door, on Level 5 of the car park, some time back to finally allow "fence-free" videoing. I should have had my post connected to my camera for less shakes, sorry about that.

In the next video, we have come a long way. Not a lot of changes but hopefully, with the help of my camera support post I have cut back on the shakes. Sorry for some out-of-focus parts.

Next video is a follow-up to the first closure of St Marys, initially thought to happen every weekend for 2 years. Later, we learned it would NOT be closed EVERY weekend, thankfully. All this is for the construction of a new overpass at the station for the new Metro connecting St Marys and later, we hope Tallawong, via St Marys, to the new Nancy Bird Airport Metro that is coming, soon.

In this station change, someone expressed the possibility of raising the ballast and train lines to make it more level with the platforms. For years, at both at St Marys AND Parramatta stations, there has been too much height in the step, on and off the trains.

In the next video, notice the changes on the station preparing for a new overbridge for the soon-coming Metro.

I have finally worked out how to get the "Transfers" from one pic or video working properly. The clue is to do the transfers when loading up the various parts of the main production. Apologies for some possible repeats.

Moving forward, we bring you the continued "goings on" at St Marys, preparing for an overpass for the new Metro that is coming on in a couple of years. It may pay to go back through my Youtube channel and look at the progression from the old Station Plaza Shopping Centre, now long gone and the old bus station, also totally replaced by all the new workings. In the end of an earlier video, courtesy of my friend Paul T, some shots of The Boring Machine being installed. This will be creating the tunnel between St Marys Station and the new Nancy Bird Airport Station, for the airport due to open in a couple of years, hopefully.

I still want to do the bus tour to the airport site, if possible. If you look through my stuff you will see the viaducts for the Metro to pass over Luddenham Rd. (Pt 12 or 13 I think).

Down the road, we look forward to the Main South West metro, currently running between Tallawong and Sydenham (and next year to Bankstown) connecting to this new Metro that is coming, soon. St Marys Station is closing every other weekend to passenger services (replaced by buses to Parramatta)for the works you see going on to create an overbridge to the new St Marys Metro Station, to continue.
