Sloths are awesome

Sloths

by tempeste

 
are
two-toed
or three-toed.
They spend their days
well hidden from their foes.
 
Clutched to a robust branch, they stay
put for hours and in so doing outplay
skilled hunters like eagles, leopards and jaguars.
 
To mate, a male will risk his life, he'll stray
from his turf just to have a lay.
 
Though defenseless and slow
he wont be swayed.
 
For love, oh
he'll go
far
