A disturbed sleep caused me to ask...
Was I Before I Became I Am

Restlessness besetted me again last night, agitating the down upon where my hopeless head rested.
Thoughtless thoughts continued arriving asking questions that made me sigh, disturbing the rest I planned to have, but alas, it was not to be. They caused me to wonder if Hamlet, who asked the question, "To be or not to be" could be speaking from beyond the veil, not the pale, where I supposed we go, after he, the King was poisoned by Claudius.
Can you see why I was awakened from sleep? If not, here are some of the questions I asked my soul, within... (I think; therefore I am)... If I am correct in thinking this afterthought thoughted? You who are reading this may ask your being within you if...
After arriving into mortal life, do we immediately begin returning from whence we came, supposedly for eternity?
That caused me to muse if the two of us, you and I, lived pre-mortally. Some say, yea; others say nay.
My inquiries continued querying...
If we were previously alive on the other side, how long had we been there?
Were we "In the beginning when the beginning begun?
How long was our stay before we came earth's way?"
I'd like to know with no purpose in mind, how long has it been since the beginning began? And was it as long as long will be "In the end?"
Suddenly, I became fully awake to seek the answers to the questions posed, whether they came from me or Hamlet, Shakespeare or God. So, I wikied up Confucianism which pointedly stated...
Confucius did not focus on life after death as though it were the ultimate standard against which to measure the success of a life on Earth. He believed that life is enough, and if someone lived according to his golden rules, they shouldn't be concerned with what comes next since they already played their role in society.
That left me wondering if Confucius gave thought to whether he lived a life before he was birthed physically.
To end, I ask, what are the odds of us assuming a postmortem celestial life versus having lived a pre-birth ageless life? Are they greater > or lesser? What say ye?

Now that I have gotten things off my chest, perhaps I can get some rest tonight.

I had fun and hope you did as well in reading this rambling rose.
