A.W.O.L - Absence Without Leave

Where my mind goes,
 no one knows.
Where has it been?
how to begin?

At times, it's alone
in The Twilight Zone.
I also heard
 a Myna bird
say it was seen
being obscene
near the Outer Limits
with Chester Nimitz.

Since then,
who knows when...
it has been M.I.A.
far away
leaving me unfit
while missing it
causing insanity
with bare inanities
just like before 
or maybe more.

The font may be a challenge, but then again, so is the composition you read (past tense) not reed. The photo is supposedly depicting The Twilight Zone.
Chester Nimitz was a naval Admiral that led the counter-offensive against Japan.
