A detective attempts to find a serial killer

The Kirby Case - Part 1

by Pamusart

He’s just a cop who wears a gun,

and never seems to have much fun.

He's bogged down by the Kirby case;

three women killed inside this space.

Each one was strangled with her skirt.

The killer covered them with dirt.

The killings have the same M.O.,

but evidence is coming slow.

They’ve still not found a single clue,

not anything to tell them who.

All three were raped and then were posed.

Their legs were bent and tightly closed.

There wasn’t any DNA,

no semen stains to pave the way.

They all were found in diff’rent spots

of Kirby’s field on sep’rate plots.

The latest one had light red hair.

That wasn’t like the other pair.

The clues all show no links were found

among the victims who were bound.

Their arms were tied with sturdy ropes,

enough to smother all their hopes.

He must identify the store

that sold the rope and gloves he wore.

His name is Mike and he’s the lead

detective who must now succeed

in finding who is doing this

before he plants another kiss.

A fact not given to the press

is something’s painted on each chest.

It’s shaped like lips and ruby red.

They likely were already dead.

His last name’s Brady and he knows

the way that information flows.

The network news will always try

to get all facts that they can pry.
