Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
This is a poem about solitude on a day without work.

A Day Off

by Serinus Canaria

Haven't slept in for long so I
Open the window and stretch out a hand to say hello
Morning waves back from across the street
Entangled in pajamas
Atop the spine of stairs
Lilting wood after dancing feet
Ogre of the lair
Never to be seen
Echoes of the child.
