The future Is Now

The future Is Now

Tomorrow news
Rushes at us
The future is now.

The future is here
The future is not
What we thought
it would be.

the future looming at us
the future leering at us
the future mocking us.

tomorrow
is just today’s plan
gone awry.

they say that one
should live for today
the past is the past
and tomorrow may
never come.

I will drink to that
Tomorrow evening
After drinking my coffee
Thinking about tomorrow
Tomorrow morning.
