Can you love anything other than yourself?

Narcissist Love Song

I will always be number one
Your feelings don't matter
I care when it's convenient
It's never my fault
The world owes me
I can't control how my life turns out
Your tears can't sway my stance
I can say I love you but it holds no weight
I will care if it benefits me
Can the number one become a number two
Or has the narcissist begun the lonely road to death

Love and narcissistic behaviours can be so hard to understand. I have been with a narcissist my whole adult life and it is possible to love each other, but man is it hard. And it will never be equal.
