Fly Past Me

Fly past me and above me, sense my presence and please leave,

For what you provide is of no essence, you offer no reprieve,

Fly past me as a stranger, your friendship holds no lure,

Pay your visits to the chosen, who invite you in their door.

I ask not for your wisdom, simply the nature of your gain,

Fly past me and beyond me, for your knowledge bears me pain,

As the clouds above me whisper, join them in their flight ,

Fly past me and above me, omit me from

your sight
