The Loves in My Heart

 

My firstborn, Jeffrey, a beautiful baby boy who
made the biggest changes in my life.
My first pains of labor, my first grasp
of a small tiny hand wrapped around my enormous finger.
My first pang of pure joy and love in my heart.

 

To my beautiful baby girl, Steph, who
deepened the love of motherhood the second time around.
Deep-cut dimples, sparkling eyes,sweet pink little feet
that walked all over my heart.

 

For my last born, Stacy, a special bond of love and joy
Knowing I'd experience those special moments
in a newborn for the last time - pure innocent
love felt only within the bounds of a Mother's heart.

 

Thank you, all of you, for giving me the joys, the sorrows,
the ups and downs of motherhood. I wouldn't change
a single solitary moment if it meant I couldn't
have you providing the reasons for the beating of my heart.

I love you now, I love you always,
From the beginning of our journey together here on earth
Until we are etched together with an eternal heart.
