A poem.

Scarred children.

by royowen

Bad words cut deep inscribed in stone,
epitaphs chiseled deep in bone.
For wounds won't heal, broad scars remain,
and youth through age are caused great pain.

Insulting children as they learn,
this image in their hearts will burn.
An elegy that's etched in blood,
and ground in mucus' timeless flood.

A well-raised child is future's health,
for a nation, tomorrow's wealth.
For hist'ry says that empires fail,
when mind's infected fuel storm's gale.

This world needs grace to cover souls, and
that hide like lepers in fate's holes.
Only garments cloaked in blood,
will baptise scars in healing's flood.

So many children in this world are robbed of their childhood innocence, so many ways to ruin a young life, this is just one of them. Children are the future of a nation, good or bad, all nations will inherit abuse. Only God can make a difference, and heal a nation.

2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Mark 8:36
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? KJV
Colossians 1:20
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of Gods grace.
