Trust

by royowen

To trust is like a yacht becalmed
in waiting for a breeze.
Still knowing that the wind obeys
the Master of the seas.

Can trust be like a fool beguiled
intoxicating souls?
Or is it like the Spirit's kiss
enchantingly made whole?

All children's faith is so innate,
betrayed sometimes and soiled.
By choice adults receive the truth
unless by doubt it's foiled.

I co-exist with God, I know,
in truth I'm really free;
I live upon my native Earth
yet sealed by God's decree.

Is time a stark reality,
or just a spatial glitch?
That simply cannot be constrained,
a dirge way out of pitch.

R.Owen

Have you ever pondered whether we live in a strange reality or are we just deluded fools, some puppet-masters tool?
I have sincerely considered these questions, so I wonder if God saw my dilemma and revealed that we need to make a decision to trust what we perceive as the truth, or remain cynical, but what does cynicism achieve?
Cynicism or innocence? You choose.

Matthew 18:3 Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of God.
