A repetitive frightening dream

An Empty City

 
Wandering the sidewalks shrouded in gloom
Canyon of skyscrapers overhead loom
Car lost, empty garage, gigantic tomb
 
Not a person anywhere, only me
An icy stab of fear piercing my heart
Black shadow chasing me nowhere to flee
Awaken, legs pumping, a fleeing start
