To dream, or not to dream.

Consumed in Despair

by Jake P.

In shadows deep, the silence screams,
A haunting echo, lost in dreams.
The stars above, like eyes that stare,
As darkness wraps me in its lair.
The moonlight fades, a ghostly thread,
Through fears that linger, filled with dread,
In this embrace, our nightmares flare.

I close my eyes in hopeful prayer
That dreams tonight hold no despair.
With every breath, the terror grows,
A tapestry of dread that flows.
The world retreats, consumed by gloom,
With visions, dark, my mind consumes.
I'm trapped inside a hapless snare.
