A poem

Prayer at the bridge.

by royowen

I wish my muse would let me rest,
unless I'm filled with vim and zest.
And yet He owns me heart and soul,
because He cleansed me, made me whole.

My heart within me burns like fire,
with grace my passion, my desire.
Lord, I ask these days on Earth,
anoint with grace, its length, its girth.

I will not rest from toil and tears,
I pray You quell man's rage and fears.
I know these conflicts must be fought
for just this purpose I was bought.

I've captured grace with all its care,
as loving's garment I must wear.
I thank you Father for my birth.
'because in Christ I now have worth.

Zepheniah 3:16-18
On that day they will say to Jerusalem: Do not fear, O Zion; do not let your hands fall limp. The LORD your God is among you; He is mighty to save. He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will rejoice over you with singing. I will gather those among you who grieve over the appointed feasts, so that you will no longer suffer reproach.
