Animosity is a killer that is running a deadly course

Killing without compassion, killing without remorse

It hates the place you came from; it hates that you are here

Its anger activated, whenever you are near

It hates the way you dress; it hates the way you speak

It would like to remove you, but it’s a coward and it’s weak

So, it backs the political candidate, who says he’ll do the deed

A garden of hostility, thus grown from this hateful seed

Things are coming to a head, and we will soon see

Just what kind of country, this will finally be

We are one species, despite how we look, dress or sound

Lovingly crafted from the dust of the ground

We can give in to hatred, feeding it every day

I pray that those who will replace us will find a better way

I pray that our failures, will inspire them to embrace love

I know without doubt, this would please our God above

So, let no one bear animosity any more

Instead, let love be the key to open heaven’s door
