An Acrostic, Club Entry

Hannah

by Jessica Wheeler

Hushed whispers weave through Hannah's home,
At night, the ghosts return to roam.
Unseen, the steps that creak the floor–
Nocturnal guests outside her door.
Thick fog seeps in behind the dead;
Entrapped, she hides beneath her bed.
Disturbing chants ring sharp and clear;

Her name resounds for all to hear.
Outside the veil, a truth now taunts:
Undead, the souls young Hannah haunts.
She leaves her body in its tomb,
Each night, to dwell inside her room.
