A Golden Span

Their fifty years, a golden span
of love, laid brick by brick,
began the day a worthy man
became dear Debi's pick.

A winding road once led astray
with cracks and bumps endured,
would cross a path along the way
that led to trust secured.

But life would put a dream on hold,
said not to be fulfilled.
And through the silent pain untold,
their faith would only build.

Then time declared, with gentle might,
a miracle extended.
They watched their answered prayers rewrite
what nature once intended.

Their blessings came, two girls, a boy,
three living dreams made true.
To grow by bundles, six, of joy-
with children's children, too.

It's written as the fates agree
two souls were meant for love,
transcending half a century,
aligned in stars above.

A bond to weather time's great test
is one to never break.
The way is found, for God has blessed
the path and choice to make.

A match well made, it's clear to see,
and Glen, don't you forget
how truly blessed you are to be
dear Debi's pick, Marquette!
