Charming Quirky Sense of Humor

Of six kids in his family, he was the only son

Played many sports in college, most are thankful to play one

And when he joined the service, he’d salute with Navy gun 

He says sometimes his foot’s in mouth, but always done in fun



He fell in love completely, when stood in for her prom date

And though she's ten years younger, he knew it was always fate

Where they’d adopt two baby girls, North Carolina state

Now forty five years later, Myra’s still Tom’s loving mate



He has a charming, quirky sense of humor ‘bout him, yet 

A little bit unorthodox, that some don't always get  

He prays for me when needed and I never will forget

He's been a friend to me and many, and so glad we met



He's proud of his accomplishments and all that he achieves

He tears up for our flag, wears his emotions on his sleeves

His faith so strong in God, and proud to tell how he believes

And thankful for his blessings and for all that he receives
 


He thinks a day without humor is good for just a frown

So his Party requires laughter; no one can be down
.
And all will be invited from our fun filled writing town
