Sometimes like magic, a poem will pop in my mind. I pick up my pen and write. Losing loved ones the past two years is a big reason I got back into writing poetry. However, I am inspired to write every day by family, grandchildren,the beauty of nature and animals.

I'm thankful for the gift of writing. It is nourishment for one's soul. It helps relieve anxiety and tension and brings great personal satisfaction. Poetry is an art form that I truly love. It helps me get in touch with my inner child and soothes my spirit.

Fan story has helped me grow in my writing and I'm truly thankful to be part of such a wonderful group. A kind and creative family of poets who gives constructive criticism and encouragement that helps us gain confidence and excel in our writing.

Even though you may not know these people in person. You truly get a great sense of who they are through skillful writings and develop a deep appreciation for them.

I hope that someday I will be the author and demonstrator of a children's book. I know with dedication,hard work and a belief in oneself maybe that dream will some day become a reality. It would be such a rewarding experience to have my grandchildren look at a book and say my nanny wrote this. Thank you Fan Story.
