Author Notes Inspired by Unity Church Prayer

Many of you know my friend, Sandra Stoner-Mitchell. She is having health challenges with asthma and cataract surgery. I am praying for her and I hope you will too. If you don't pray, you can send her healing positive vibes through the airwaves.

Thank you for taking the time to read and review my prayer.

Chapter 2
Fan Story Royalty: Sandra Stoner

To Sandra Stoner Mitchell,
A friend to all she meets,
Classy, kind, considerate,
Her words, delightful treats.

She's savvy as a novelist
Her poetry's sublime,
She cares about the members here,
Gives them her love and time.

Her sense of humor equals none
Her laughter sounds like music,
She is the Writer's Writer,
Filled with talent and amusement.

Dear Sandra, may you be well soon,
And come back to this troupe.
If only I lived close to you,
I'd bring you matzoh ball soup!!

Hugs

Dear Sandra,

May the God of hope

fill you with all joy and peace

as you trust in him,

so that you may overflow with hope

by the power of the Holy Spirit.

May this verse encourage you by knowing His care and comfort at all times on your health journey.
May His presence and comfort be very real.
May the eye surgeons and hospital staff have wisdom.
May all medical staff who look after you do so with care and compassion.

Best wishes for a quick return to your friends and your writing.

To Sandra: May Colors Glow

May colors glow in vibrant light
As God restored and blessed your sight
By guiding expert surgeons’ hands
So soon you’ll greet your waiting fans

When they remove the gauze of night
May colors glow in vibrant light
And rays of God’s restoring grace
Reveal the details of love’s face

The flowers that will bloom in spring
With double joy new hues they’ll bring
As colors glow in vibrant light
Inspiring you with words to write

Until that time, please get your rest
With catching up, please don’t be stressed
When you return and eyes see right
May colors glow in vibrant light

Chapter 5
Back to work

There is a sweet woman now laying in bed

She writes very good stuff we have read

Her eyes have been bad

They made her all sad

She is getting them fixed now instead

We send her prayers and good wishes

While her husband contends with the dishes

He stays by her side

He watches with pride

But it is not him that keeps her in stitches

Soon, she will be back at her prose

Slowly though I should suppose

We all wish her well

I'm sure you can tell

For now, she will recline, rest and doze.

A candle I light
for my friend's weary eyes
a prayer to restore
healing light to flee darkness
to clear vision renew hopes.

To Sandra With Love

To Sandra, With Love

Though miles stretch between us,
And you face this difficult journey
May our love and prayers touch you,
We promise you are never alone.

May God hold you in his hands,
As you have been the light in ours.
May His peace be a warm embrace.
We promise you are never alone.

You have given so much kindness,
Let it now return its blessings to you,
Let healing come, let love surround,
We promise you are never alone.

And when this storm has passed,
When the sun shines on your face again,
May you feel the love of those who cherish you,
We promise you are never alone.

I hold you close in my thoughts,
My heart and in my prayers, as always,
May my love touch you and give you comfort
Because I could never leave you alone.

Please accept my thoughts and prayers as I write as a friend and know nothing about the structure of poems.

Chapter 8
Seeing Clearly

With pen and paper, I begin to write
To let you know how very much I care.
The road’s been long, your eyes have not been right;
You forged a path so you could see and share.

May you “see clearly now, the rain is gone.”
Enjoy each beautiful view that you see
Like the wide-eyed deer and her lovely fawn.
Now spread your wings, then be all you can be.

The world awaits because your path is clear.
We’re hoping all your sight will be like new,
And birds will sing sweet melodies of cheer
As flowers bloom, refreshed by morning dew.

So when we meet, though it’s virtually,
We’ll still enjoy a nice, hot cup of tea.

Sandra's Sparkle

You've such wisdom for all to see

How I've always known you to be

And you write so beautifully 

Just part of what you mean to me



You leave a sparkle where you go

And we benefit from your glow



First woman here that I had met

Back then you were my safety net

You taught me things I'd not done yet

So, Sandra, I will not forget



A single rose that has no thorn

A lovely smile without a scorn



An elegance that you portray

You're lovely as a summer's day

I love you in a "Sister" way

There's so much more I'd like to say



You're loved by all, both near and far

So talented, our own rock-star



Prayers for your eyes and surgeries 

To breathe the air without a wheeze 

And for the best, we ask God, please

That soon you'll "Breathe and See" with ease



Please, Sandra, know how much we care

We will be keeping you in prayer

Author Notes My Merry~go~Rhyme Rules:
1. must rhyme
2. must be fun
3. normal 4 line stanzas
4. a fun colorful line or 2 between each stanza (for the up and down carousel effect)
5. mostly carefree and joyful (for the round and round effect)
6. may have sadness in poem, but must have joyful ending, to keep the theme going

Chapter 10
We Love You Sandra!

Sandra, just know that you are loved by Jesus most of all.

He is standing by to catch you, when you trip and fall.

He sees each tear you shed. and keeps them close to His heart.

Just know you are never alone, because Jesus will not depart.

Your fan story family loves and cares for you, so very much!

If we were close by you'd feel our gentle love and tender touch.

We don't know why bad things happen to good people, or people at all.

Just trust in the Lord, dear sister and friend, and always stand tall.

Many prayers are being sent up for you at this time in your life.

Hang on to the hope that helps to get rid of heartbreaking strife!

We are praying for a miracle for your eyes to open wide and finally see,

Just what Jesus truly has waiting and planned, for your next step in your journey.

Always remember you have so many friends on here that love you so much!

I happen to be one of them, and am praying for that heavenly and holy touch.

Don't lose hope dear friend, as all is not lost and you will perfectly begin to see.

As God's masterful plan starts to unfold, you will see what He has in store for you.

Hang on tight to His everlasting love and promises, that's what will see you through.

Author Notes This is a poem from my heart to Sandra. I am not the best poet, but when the Holy Spirit helps me I can usually get my point across. Each day on this earth is a climb. Some days are steeper than others. We just have to keep holding on to the unchanging hand of God that leads, guides and directs our steps. He will never leave us, nor forsake us. That you can totally believe! May God bless you Sandra and May God bless each one of you!

I'm a terrible poet I'm afraid to say

But when I heard you were not feeling well, I wrote this any way

You are deeply missed as you must know
As Fan Story fans just love you so

I hope you are back in action before too long

Because without you here feels just plain wrong.
