Oz Harte Tumbling Words

Poetry Contest
This unique poetry contest is designed to test an entrant's skill with word choice and word use.

The last word in a line must become, or tumble, to the first word in the next line. However, the word must change in the process. The poet is required to add, subtract or substitute one letter in the second word. This continues to the end of the poem.

An example would be:

We met each other overtly
Covertly I stated my love evermore
Nevermore would she give her heart
Hear her rejection I could not
Now she speaks no more

Please submit a minimum of 10 lines to a maximum of 20 lines. The verse may or may not rhyme, it is your choice.

The subject is open but no profanity, vulgarity, erotica, pornography, graphic or violence based imagery. Essentially, nothing inappropriate.

Please conform to good writing style. No CAPS locked, sticky caps, incorrect spelling, obscure ancient and redundant words or contrived grammar.

As the Oz Harte Tumbling Words Contest provides you an opportunity to express your word skill to present a self contained, understandable poem, no artwork and no author's notes are to be used.

The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 60.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.

Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Friday, May 30, 2014.
