You made it to the grand finale keeping the story entertaining and dynamic which is a rare treat when you write a book of this length. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the publishing.

Nice job, Tony! Glad? Sad? to see it end, I wonder. Clever bit re hunting endangered species: If you want to shoot the blessed things, do it with a camera, for God's sake." I also like the sly humor re: not to keep sending such handsome men. Cheers. LIZ

Thanks, Liz. It was certainly a good feeling to put the final chapter to rest. Now to try to beat the whole blessed thing into shape. Much cutting and rearranging to keep me busy fin the immediate future. I shall be taking a bit of a break from FanStory for a while. I've appreciated your support and interest during the first draft stage. All good wishes, Tony

I shall miss reading about the adventurous of Charles and company. I was hoping for a happy ending. I see you have left it open for book two.
Good luck with the editing.

Thanks, Liz. It has been a good feeling to put the final chapter to rest. Now to try to beat the whole blessed thing into shape. Much cutting and rearranging to keep me busy in the immediate future. I shall be taking a bit of a break from FanStory for a while. There are several who have said they would have preferred a happier ending. This may be one of the things I'll revisit during the editing process. I've appreciated your support and interest during the first draft stage. All good wishes, Tony

-Well, you did a great job
with this project, Tony.
-You should be very proud of
this accomplishment.
-The story ended on some
good notes and some sad ones.
-It was a shame Helen had to be
the major victim in the story,
and have such a horrible situation.
-She basically paid the biggest price for everyone.
-It is nice to know Kayla seems like she
will be settled and busy with the medical
facility, which is a wonderful thing
for her to do, and will be so beneficial to the people.
-Charles and Bisto remain the close
friends they always were, and will be
spending some well deserved time at his cottage.
-I thought the ending was very interesting
with Bamforth and Jeanne. Of course, Jeanne,
especially, has no regard for anyone, and
they think that everyone will just rally
to support their cause, regardless of
what anyone has been through.
-The conclusion is done very well, and
it is appropriated that there is a
letter with a picture of Queen Victoria
on the stamp and a blood stain on the envelope.
-Poor Charles-reminds me of a movie, beginning,
"Your assignment, if you choose to take it..."
-Well done, and good luck with the publishing.
-It was a pleasure helping you.

Thanks, Pam. It has been a good feeling getting the final chapter down on paper. Now to try to beat the whole blessed thing into shape. Much cutting and rearranging to keep me busy in the immediate future. I shall be easing back from FanStory for a while to give me more time to concentrate on that. There are several who have said they would have preferred a happier ending. This may be one of the things I revisit during the editing process. You are very welcome, Tony. I have enjoyed helping you and seeing how far you have come. I sent some ideas to consider if you need another opinion. I wouldn't jump in with the ending right away. Let it sit; I think your most important task is organizing how the book is going to go. Help doesn't go away just because you won't be on FS as much:)

Great finishing chapter Tony, and with the hint that their could be another story to tell, more adventures for these characters. Good luck with the structural editing (that sounds hard work) sand it's been a pleasure to read it.
cheers,
valda

I know people like a happy ending, but for me, I thought the ending suited the story and the couple.
-
Thanks, Valda. I appreciate your feedback on that. I shan't rush to change it!

What an ending - you're sending Charles on a new adventure? You've done a fabulous job with this book, researching details to make the setting and characters more believable. I wish you the best in the publishing of this and future adventures!

Best wishes to you, Tony! I have dreams of editing m previous works but find that to be much harder than writing daily. I never dreamed I would be writing daily until Fanstory. I don't think it needs a happier ending. I think that two sisters who have overcome drugs, abuse and being used by espionage groups and who got victory over their family enemy, that's still a happy ending. The bittersweet ending for Charles is artistic.
-
Thanks for that, Helen. I certainly won?t rush into a change to the ending!

Well, you tied up a bunch of loose ends nicely; but, left open many possibilities for continuing this story--or at least part 2 of it. I still have my doubts about JDurand. I'm glad Helen is doing better after her ordeal. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan

I love the story and I can't wait until you get is published so I can purchase it. I am extremely curious about the envelope Charles just purchased. I want to know about it. You've left this open for another adventure.

A very well-written chapter to wrap everything nearly up and leave a possibility for a new adventure with another mysterious envelope that screams to b explored.
It was a pleasure reading this story from beginning to end without too long pauses before the next chapter.

It's sad that Helen is going to need a while to recover, but I think you need to keep it real. I can't imagine any of them would be interested in that offer. If I were in any of their positions I'd be done with it, ready for a more peaceful life.
