Thank you for sharing your thoughts through your story. I found it to be heartbreaking. I can't imagine having to make a decision like that, but I understand your wife has to come first.

Sandra, thank you for reading and commenting on Rey. Life is seldom an easy thing to live with "best plans". But, we adapt and move forward.

So very sorry about the accident. My heart goes out to your wife and to Rey. I hope she's on the mend and that Rey has found another great family.
From the picture Rey is indeed a beautiful creature.
Good luck in the contest.
Blessings Julia

Julia, I will share your kind and compassionate words with my wife. I delight that I will be getting her home next week and continue with a long rehab schedule, so all will be made right again. We are very close to getting Rey Into a new home that will be good for all concerned.

"Rey'
Was well written and rich in Theme and Imagery.
It read well and Flowed well with no Grammar Issues as well.
...
Adjective and Objective Contents were both Excellent and Exceptional while Descriptive Measures aligned Perfectly.

Oh my God,
this story just had me in tears. This must be so hard for you. Our pets become part of the family and to lose one is like loosing a child. I wish I could take her and love her as you have, but I am so far away. I hope she finds a new home that will love her as you have. Good luck.

What a sad ending to a beautiful relationship. Labradors have the most wonderful temperaments. I'm sure Rey will make an ideal therapy dog.
Just one glitch: and heafty fifty-five pounds - spelling - hefty.
Good luck in the contest.

Very sorry for your loss. You told a good story. It appeared that Rev was a gentle dog who filled your life with pleasant memories. I also hope your wife recovered from her injury. Wishing you the best.

This story, Rey, is very upbeat for almost its entirety. The clash at the end and ouster of the animal seemed almost unrelated to the rest of the story. Hope the hip is okay.
