You do a great job of exploring people's insecurities about status and position, and how that affects Cord and Alexandra's behaviour. I love that they're able to talk it out and enhance their understanding of one another. Then the escape room scene is a gentle example of how they're turning into a team. I thought this was a beautifully written chapter.

Nice dialogue. I love escape rooms and you nailed that pretty good. This is definitely interesting work and something that I would read. I'm no grammatical genius, but I couldn't find any errors.

The escape room was kind of a mystery. I have to reread the part about why they went there in the first place. Alexandra's parents are wealthy people. So glad that Cord and Ali talk things out...

why did they go to the escape room? Just part of the city's tour? Or were they trying to solve a case?

Just to see it. It was something to do other than the opera or ballet. Cord needed something more active.

We see Cord struggling with feeling like Alex is too good for him, that she comes from a more priviliged world, and Alex trying to make him feel at ease and that she is comfortable with who he is. And then the two of them working together in the escape room is the perfect metaphor for the need to work together in life. estory

I enjoyed this as they face another snag in their romance but are able to come to an agreement. I have never been in an escape room, not sure I really want to do something like that, but glad they were able to solve the problem.
