Family helping one another out is what it is all about.
Strong depth of characters.
Much better to go through the most difficult times with all the help one can get from family.

Thank you for the kind review. I'm sorry you read this when no money is attached.

It was touching that the boys took time to research and find out chemotherapy. Family staying together in times of need is very heartening. Hope katherine and Gabriel will have some happiness at the end of all this...

The Big C is a mean disease. Half the time you know not if yuo are coming or going but the stress is always there. Family, when supportive, can relieve much of that too. ...............................................................................................................................

Very well told. Your personal experience of cancer helps to give authenticity to the descriptions. How important it is to have family support through this trauma. Katherine is fortunate in that respect. You continue to give great depth to Gabriel's character. Well done.

I hope you'll continue this book after the three posts are completed....it has a great story to it. Cancer is such a bummer to have; chemotherapy is no fun either. Have a great day.

I will continue this book to the end. It would be cruel not to stop and let anybody know the ending.

All those extra kisses pretty much says everything. Now matter how hard times can become, it's always easier when we don't have to go through those trials alone. Thanks for sharing.

I hope you had the kind of support system that Katherine has when you were going through this treatment. It has to be awful to know that a couple of days after treatment you are going to feel so rotten. Gabriel wants to be there for her but I think some men might not be so supportive. You are doing a wonderful job with this story.

My family lived far away, but I did have a husband and two boys at home. I have some really good friends for support. Thank you for the review.

-This is a good chapter, barbara, that shows how a family works together in difficult situations.
-You are doing a really good job with it.
-It's good that the boys are interested and want to know what is going on.
I don't think I would have done research as a kid!
-It's also good that Gabe and Katherine are honest with each other and accept them for who they are.
-The support of their parents is valuable, as well.

"We've only known each other about two months." [What does she mean by this? It doesn't seem to follow his, "What if I fall short?" It's just a gut feeling, but it seems she should have preceded her "knowing each other about two months" with something else. Again, only a feeling.]
An interesting side note: My hair never fell out during or after my twelve weeks of chemo. I think I willed it so.

I was completely bald with the chemo I had. I am using the same chemo drugs that I had to take. So I'm pretty sure it will. My mom used different drugs and it did not. I will recheck the area in question.

It's very confronting to read about her treatment. Bravo to all those who have come through such pain and difficulty including yourself. The writing is excellent, and I feel thankful that she has Gabriel. Not all men are so understanding and helpful. Looking forward o the next.
