I have aways liked this story. Even though its fictional it sounds like everyday living. The same kind of atmosphere cancer victims have. I sure hope she makes it through the last appointment okay.

I thought I had reviewed you, Barbara, I read it on Sunday and can only think that it was at the time my son and grandchildren knocked on the door and that was it for the rest of the day. The only reason I realised I hadn't was because I was going through my comments to find a review that had an email address on it. Then I realised there wasn't one for you. I am sorry. I'll make sure I sit and review your on Sunday, and not be disturbed.
This chapter has lots going for it. I'm glad Katherine and Gabe are at last going out on a real date. I think what struck me most was Jeremy glaring at Gabe for making him tidy his room. That to me showed the respect and love he has for Gabe. There was no, 'You're not my dad' attitude, but acceptance that Gabe more or less is, now. Loved that. Well done, my friend. I really enjoyed this part. I'm glad you've got internet. :)) Sandra xxx

Jeremy didn't really know his dad, because he was never there. So Gabriel is the only male figure he's ever known. Thank you for the kind review.

Wow!! I thought you would stop at 40 chapters. But I
guess you have a lot to say. Nevertheless, the picture
has become clearer, as the book comes along. Keep Writing.
And don't forget to stop by to talk to me. Stay Connected

Thank you for the kind review. Yes, this is a long novel.

The chapter is great. Gabe is every women's dream. Too bad, except for the ones already taken in real life, men like Gabe seems to only show up in books. I'm glad, though, your mom has internet access.

-This is a good chapter and I enjoyed it, barbara.
-It flows smoothly and the conversations are natural and believable.
-I like the scene with Jeremy when he comes downstairs and asks Mr. Edwards if he ever had to clean his room.
-Paul has a good conversation with Katherine, and I think she appreciated his concern and kindness. I liked his reaction to her kiss on the cheek.
-I am glad Katherine agreed to go on the date, too.
-Very well done. Hope you are enjoying your visit.
He generally loves them. I think you mean genuinely.

You are very welcome, and thanks for telling me. I've been told I have an 'eagle eye.' You had to look at a lot of math problems; I had to read tons of essays!!

Good morning, Barbara. I got tied up throwing a Valentine's Dinner for my little granddaughters (fancy china and all) and missed your story yesterday. It's moving along quite well and of course I am enjoying it. Great job!

Glad to hear you have your internet back. It must have been very difficult without it.
You're very good at using dialogue to progress the plot, but I do find the effect a bit like a machinegun at times! There's a big cast of characters to keep up with, and I find I have to keep referring back to the list to confirm who's who. This may be just me. I don't carry names in my head very well. However, it is something to be aware of, especially in a chapter like this where most of the dialogue is in short bursts of a few words.

I think it would be different in a novel where you would read it more often than once a week. Thank you for the kind review.
-
Yes, that?s probably true. This is a fairly artificial reading environment.

Thanks, once again for an excellent read and not a spag anywhere. Maybe others found some as I am a bit late getting to yours today, sorry. Well done again. Keep it all coming. Til Next week.

Flawlessly written as far as I can see. I read what you said about having 5 more posts to this book. You know, looking back, this has been a very long novel, but you've maintained a nice pace throughout, so it didn't sag in the middle as so many long novels do. There was always one or a few conflicts still unresolved and that offered a sustained level of tension through all the chapters.
