Dear Roy,
I had made myself a note to come back and review this tribute for
August, in meantime, began to write on of my own to include, which
has been posted and submitted for chapter in tribute book..as of 9/27.
Thank you for this truly spirtually encompssing, engrossing trubute
for August. He indeed was a multi dimensional man, and always
a totally dedicated to doing good for others, whether it be his job,
family, community and local church. There was hardly a good deed
done, helping hand, kind smile and endless generosity that did not
have a sigh or gratitude tracing back to him, always quietly, unceremoniously, and on to the next deed or dutiful sharing.
Hs poetry reflected the sad, destructive side of the real world, in images and such sharp visual vibrancy and cutting edge emotions
erupting in desparaging behaviors and mean intent whether it
be in relationships, society, and all else evil in between. A unique
talent on FS that will be dearly missed.
His spiritual quests in poetry read almost like gospels. He always
had a simple sense of who he was, why he was here, and where
he was going, with total conviction and connection to his deep
Christian Faith.
Thanks for sharing this marvel and masterpiece memoir and
treasure. God bless.
Love, blessings always, Ronni

I have read a few of the tributes to August, Roy and yours is beautifully done, too. I read one of his poems this morning, written with a lot of emotion, as all the lovely tributes have said.

Sorry, I have been out of town so have a lot of messages to catch up on. This is a beautiful tribute to a fellow poet. So sorry to see another one pass on, seems like there have been a lot in recent months.

Roy,
This is a fine tribute to one of our very own.
You did an outstanding job in this tribute to August. Unfortunately, I did not have the pleasure of knowing this young man, but I can tell from your very uplifting poem that he was a Godly man and gentleman. My prayers and deepest sympathy are with his family during this difficult time. May God continue to comfort and keep them in His loving care.
God bless you!

He started "Carpenters for Christ", (same job as Jesus) and sunk his own money into helping others. You can still write one with that in mind, I would appreciate it so much Portia, and so would his beloved fellowship. Bless you for your generosity dear heart. Roy

Your tribute reads well, Roy. I enjoyed reading it, though the reason is poignant. Your words are well thought out and create great imagery. There's good flow, good rhymes, and a great message of faith.
Thank you for haring. I enjoyed the notes, too.
Respectfully, Jan

Hello Roy,
This is a beautiful tribute to your friend. Only God knows the time when we reach that shore for the last time. Your friend sounds like a beautiful saint. We need more of them in the world today. I loved that he was a Godly man, like you Roy!! Yes, there are many Lands beyond the Seas. This is a beautiful Poem. I pray all is well with you and your family. Well done, my friend on this poem. Fondly Joyce

I hadn't followed August but am sorry to hear of his passing. I'm glad you noted that he as working at the Pentagon at the time of the attacks. I've heard that several on the scene have been suffering disabilities since then.
Your lines are beautiful, The tone is uplifting, as you look to the prospect of meeting August in Heaven. Excellent rhyme. judi

That?s true, He liked my work, he was a sometimes enthusiast, but he was a worker for Christ, he started ?carpenters for Christ? doing good for others, sinking his own money into the work, a good man.

And very generous of your to start a tribute book for August. I always found in him a kind, gentle and generous man.
