Hello Roy,
The world seems to little change, just the names,
faith is the one constant hope, internal away from the insanity.
We see events today that we hoped were in the past,
but, no, centuries belie the reality.
Nicely rhymed with a great message.
Best wishes.

"There is someone who comforts me,
who'll not desert, nor let me be"
Great words, Roy. I cannot comprehend how people who do not know the Lord cope with all the things that are going on in our world today. Without Him, where would we be?

Roy,
Very nice! A positive, hopeful, optimistic, happy poem -- like you! These days, we need all of that we can get, don't we???
I liked the line about even though you're growing old you'll still cling to your hopes and still dance and sing... That's really cool. I mean, what's the alternative? To CHOOSE to be grumpy and pessimistic? What kind of life is that? But people do it. Crazy. Crazy, crazy.
Thanks, sweetie!

There is no argument, the Bible stands true. Many just want to value their beliefs and make themselves as gods. What a wonderfully written poem. I wish I had a six for you. Best of luck with your writing!
Have a great day, and God bless.

Not sure where environmentalism and none binary gender enter into the realm of lost hope, elitism or "countless firms of religion forming." Seems to me "loving thy neighbor"
would be all inclusive? Perhaps I missed your point here. The Savior I know does not have a discard pile.

You definitely missed my point Karen. I did say why do we need to re define the original commandment?. I?m surprised you don?t know me by now. Thanks for the review, I appreciate your time, blessings Roy

I did, I do... I knew I was somehow missing the point! That's on me...and why I admitted my conusiin. I think I got lost in my own head. When politcal/sociological views conflate with faith, it can be overwhelming... No offense intended!

I know your heart Karen, never any taken. Bless you

I do believe there are a lot of false prophets causing harm in today's world. My only answer is to pray and continue to listen and follow God's guidance. Thank you for sharing with us.

New religions of godlessness have always been but at the end of the age, sin will be at its pinnacle. Satan is behind it all as he knows his time and his earthly rule is up. He will have a final fling living through the Antichrist. Seven years exactly, no more and no less. The ones make I get the way for the man of sin are already on the world stage. Sin is applauded and lauded and good is regarded as evil as righteousness is trampled underfoot. A wonderful poem on keeping the faith in these dark times.
Sending you my best today and blessings in our Lord Jesus Christ,

This poem reveals pain that comes from the depths of the heart - yet expresses hope. We are a naturally selfish people and as a result hurt one another. Thank you for sharing

Hi, Roy. You never disappoint with your poetry. It always flows so nicely and has within in it always, a divine message. I enjoyed the strength of this piece and the strength it gave to the forementioned within.

In this skillfully-written, deeply reverent and moving poem, you have used creative and expressive metaphors to describe clinging to hope and faith from childhood to--NOW.
