This poem made me smile while making me cry. You have penned an excellent piece that conveys a powerful message about deep, enduring
love, loss, and sweet memories.

I am so sorry for your loss. My husband and I walk everyday in our neighborhood and since we are both getting older, sometimes we discuss this eventuality. Both agree, we will be lost without the other.
A sad and yet beautiful story of your love.
Blessings

I love this poem. You did an excellent job. There are a lot of good memories...
I sympathize the feeling of loneliness. My wife passed away and it took a long time to get used to be alone. I am sure she wants you to be happy even without her around.
Good luck to your writing and thanks for sharing

Willie, I am sorry for your wife's death. It is coming up on four years since my wife had her attack and was gone. I know what is like. I think your poem is a beautiful memory of her. Well done. Terry.

My condolences to you terry. Nobody knows what it's like until it happens to them. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Your loss suffuses this piece with the echoes of life and the numbness left in its wake. You walk the line between remembrance and pain, and it's a very affecting read as a result.

Your poem was sad, but beautiful. I can't imagine losing someone so important to me. I am glad you still walk, and I'm sure that her memory walks with you. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Heart stirring and sorrowful
poem about your beloved
Carol. Your walk with her
must of been very special
from the way you write it.
My husband passed away unexpectedly two and a half
years ago. We still have
difficulty accepting that. You've written a beauteous
poem. Blessings to you. ~

This is a well-written rhyming poem. Although the message is sad embedded in it are the moments of tenderness and happiness you shared. The font size is large enough, but the text needs to be darker. I would make it a dark brown or green to match the colors in the visual. The visual fits perfectly, but you are breaking a copyright law using it. This so very beautiful memoir touches my heart. It really hits me where I live. I have a very similar relationship, and although I don't dwell on it, at the back of my mind, I do deal with the thought of what will I do if I am the last to go? We have been together as a couple for 50 years, married for 49 of those years. One of our grandchildren has kids. What?

Thanks, for the very nice review and beautiful six stars. We were married for sixty years before she passed. She has been gone for seven very lonely years. Willie

I hear you Willie. Even in a crowded room we are alone without our life partners. My Jim has been gone 13 years and I still miss him. I love your poem and the picture. You told your story well. Well done. Nancy:)
