That's true. One should always "pick up the phone, call and say, I love you" it's only the right thing to do after all. Yeas he is certainly a lovely man, and talented singer/songwriter friend Sally. Well done, just loved your post Sally, blessings Roy

Hey Sally :)
I have a feeling that I'm going to love every single one of your top 50, judging by your numbers 50 and 49! I adore Stevie Wonder and his music - I can't think of a song of his that I don't like!
Bring on number 48!
Best wishes as always, Debra x

Thank you for the lovely review. So delighted you're enjoying this. My kids (that are your age) enjoy my taste in music. Sigh...Am I really that old? Great times for music represented here.
Sending you my best today,

Hello Sally. Your story about yourself really is moving and stirred me too. I enjoyed the writing about Stevie and his battles, but it is your own resonating story that you have interwoven throughout this piece that gives it depth. Very well done, my friend.

Excellent choice with Stevie Wonder. Always been a fan, and saw him in concert at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, BC. Over 20,000 crowded in there, and I tried jumping up over the heads of people to take photographs, but let's put it this way, they didn't turn out for all the blur.
He is definitely an inspiration to people around the world.
On Saturday's, I had a date with Dick Clark and American Bandstand. - I think Saturdays doesn't need an apostrophe.
Excellent addition to your Jukebox. :))

Aw, thank you so much, dear Gloria. I had always wished to see him live. What a marvelous talent. He's just a few years older than me. I appreciate the wonderful comments and stars as I always do. Blessings dear,

I'm a Stevie Wonder fan and have been since the early 1960s. I like all kinds of music, but as my friends have always said, when it comes to music, I'm a black man trapped in a white man's body. Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed your tribute to SWonder, Sally. He was and still is a major influence on the music many people grew up with. You are right about how he didn't let his blindness keep him from sharing his talent.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

I love this jukebox idea, Sally. I intend to follow your countdown and be taken back in time to wonderful younger days. I can't wait to see your top ten.
This would take a lot of thought. I'm not sure I could settle on any favs.
I can't wait to read and hear more.

Thanks, Sally, for filling us in on the amazing history of Stevie Wonder. Many of us enjoy the music, but don't often hear about the back story, unless a movie is made. I love the song you chose, "I Just Called to Say" and thank you for the reminder that I need to call my brother today!

Beautiful and remarkable trip down the memory lane. You are right Steve Wonder it's one of the biggest voices that impacted the R& B music. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Sally,
You did a great job on your Jukebox hit #49 about Stevie Wonder and the
song, "I just came to say I love you." I remember Dick Clark and American Bandstand. I did not watch it that much. I like your comments here:
"Stevie has not let his blindness define him--not one iota. He is the real deal, and has had to overcome tremendous hardships every day of his life. When I want to complain about my blindness, I think of Stevie and his infectious smile."
Thanks for including his quote also:
"Stevie said, "I am what I am. I love me! And I don't mean that egotistically -- I love that God has allowed me to take whatever it was that I had and to make something out of it."
I did listen to the video. I was analyzing it not too long ago when I heard it in the car. I don't even listen to the radio much even while driving, but
the words of this song are odd and eerie to me.
No Libra sun
No April rain
No flowers bloom
No weddings in June
No harvest moon
No Autumn breeze
No falling leaves
No time for birds to fly south
No giving gifts with Christmas joy
And then all he can do is call.
Maybe I think too much, but
this does not sound like a good
scenario. Just because it's put
to nice music and a talented singer...
It sounds like the end of the world
to me - so let's sing about it. lol
Okay,
I better go...
I enjoyed my visit,

He starts with New Year's Day and goes through the calendar of things that would prompt a phone call to say... I love you. He's stating: I just called to say I love you, and for no other reason, no special holiday, just to say those three special words. Now, listen again and see if you hear the message inside. Love u dear, and many thanks,
Sal XOs...

No...I only hear there are no April showers. No flowers blooming. No Libra sun. No harvest moon. No June weddings. No time for birds to fly south. And on and on. Predictive programming at its best. I do appreciate your talented writing.
