This does sound so much fun.
Sorry I've been too busy to even review lately, Barbara. The inbox is full but I still can't say when I'll have the time to really get back to reading and reviewing with more time.
I hope you'll forgive me if I miss reviewing any number of your posts, my friend.
Have a fab year,
Apky
You're(Your) input is probably needed.
That evening as Shana walked into the dining room tears entered her eyes. ~ Please do something with this. Tears never "enter" eyes ever!

I will fix both those. Thank you for the kind review. I will miss your reviews, but I do understand.

Hi, Barbara,
Oh no. I wonder what news will come about the explosions. Your story doesn't indicate how close they are -- are any of the players in danger?
Drew is doing all the right things about the differences in their religion and I'm sure he will go along with the (their future) children learning about both faiths.
Truly looking forward to see how this all comes out,

Thank you for the encouragement.

The banter between Drew and Shana continues to add a touch of lightness and humour. This chapter would be particularly interesting to readers who know little or nothing about Jewish traditions.

I had a bad feeling about those matzo balls. One seemed far too big. That must be the one containing the bomb. Right?
I like matzo crackers myself. I have to cut back on salt, so they're perfect. I prefer the ones made with egg, but eat the white ones too.
Decor and food, mostly, except for the bomb, of course. Looks like what I call a connecting chapter, some normal living stuff to pave the way for the bomb. Or maybe something outside exploded and did no harm. Think I'll go with that. :)

Well we'll find out Sunday when I post. I appreciate the kind review.

The writing is concise and crisp and the dialogue is clear. I like the explanations she gives along the way to inform the reader about Jewish traditions that they may not be familiar with. These were very easy to follow and made the narrative very easy to follow
I had a hard time figuring out that Drew and Anderson are the same person, I think in any one small segment it works best for the reader if you could stick to one, as in the beginning of today's post when she walks into the room to find Drew and Jeff and then the next reference it's Anderson and Jeff. Of course once I read through the character list it solved the problem, but going back and forth in the same paragraph or section seems needlessly tedious. I bumped when she picked up the matches but it does not say that she lit the candles even though she explained that was what she was going to do. these are minor fixable issues. Overall the piece is well done!

It was established early that Anderson is called Drew by his friends. Sorry for the confusion. I appreciate the kind review.

I am slowly returning. I am writing a movie script. Have thought to enter a California script contest, but not sure. Much work and mind zapping. Might try it here, if I can muster the courage. Lots of beautiful work on this site.

You really ended this with a bang. I'm really curious about what caused the explosion. It was sweet of Drew to think of the meal with Jewish foods. That might just win her over. She needs to have a talk with her father. Maybe she can convince him that if she marries Drew it's not the end of the world. Sounds like the dogs are helping care for the kitten. The banter and enjoyment of the Jewish food makes a great contrast with what is to come--the explosion. Shana seems to be opening up a bit more to Drew's attention. Great work. judi

You're very welcome. It seems like trouble always happens every time Shana and Drew are getting things worked out. judi

This another great chapter, the story is moving along nicely and the relationship between Shana and Drew strengthens. Your character list at the bottom is really useful. I knew Susan was Drew's mum but I wasn't sure where Jeff fitted in. Now I know lol

This is great. It flows wonderfully from the last post. I like that Drew is showing Shana that he will always respect her beliefs. This is definitely a man in love. I also like how Shana expressed she was aware of his feelings. I was glued to it. I can't wait until the next post. You ended this with a cliff hanger and I want to know more. Well done.

You talk about me and my endings! Goodness me, Barbara, this is just not on!!! LOL. I'm hoping it's just a minor something or other and not a threat. I think Shana is almost ready to talk to daddy, I hope so anyway. I can't see how he could object now that Shana has lived in Drew's house for so long. He might even think it will save her good name in another way. It works with Shana's sister (cousin?) We'll see. Well done, my friend, a brilliant part. :)) Sandra xx

Shana's cousin. She' actually only lived with Drew fro 2 weeks. It takes me forever to tell a story. LOL I appreciate your kind review.

They've certainly achieved a lot in that time. It's a bit like Veronica, no time at all goes by when she gets back to James! lol!

I answered this and hit the wrong button. Shana and Drew have only lived together for 2 weeks. It just takes me forever to tell a story. It's her cousin. Thank you for the kind review.
